Elijah Adebayo says Luton Town targeted one Everton player last

Elijah Adebayo, a striker for Luton Town, has stated that his team’s goal for Friday night is to target a certain Everton player. It was a fun night at Kenilworth Road as Sean Dyche’s team returned a point to the North West.

Adebayo equalized less than ten minutes after Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s penalty gave the Toffees the lead. Needing three points, the hosts put in more effort in the second half but were unable to get the winner.

Now, the players under Rob Edwards will be watching Sheffield United’s match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon with trepidation. Elijah Adebayo claims that at Kenilworth Road, Luton targeted an elderly Everton player.

Luton striker Adebayo stated following the match that the Hatters were deliberately focusing on one Everton man.

The hosts orchestrated a fantastic move with the 26-year-old striker as a center-forward that levelled the scores, but at Ashley Young’s expense. Adebayo stated to Sky Sports: “The coach made references to that all week long. Ashley Young is undoubtedly a top professional who has had a fantastic career.

We simply believed that with both fullbacks, we could target them, particularly on that side.
