Angel Reese reveals why she’s joined new basketball league backed by Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan and other stars
Angel Reese recently shared her motivation for joining the new basketball league supported by prominent athletes like Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan.
She expressed that this move is about expanding opportunities and creating a platform that elevates women’s sports.
Reese highlighted that the league aims to provide greater visibility and support for female athletes, which is essential for the growth of women’s basketball.
By aligning with influential figures in sports, Reese believes the league will gain more traction and foster a more inclusive environment for athletes at all levels.
She emphasized that this initiative is not just about showcasing talent but also about building a strong, supportive community for women in sports.
Asking why she decided to dedicate her offseason to the league, the former LSU standout had an open response during a Chicago Sky media availability. “Not having to travel overseas and being able to spend January through March in Miami,” Reese stated.
“Nobody desires to travel abroad.” While many of us hope to never have to travel abroad, some individuals regrettably do, so being able to improve oneself and earn six figures in three months, as well as having a place to live in Miami, is important.
