
Bill Belichick is a legendary American football coach, widely regarded as one of the greatest in NFL history. Born on April 16, 1952, in Nashville, Tennessee, he began his coaching career in 1975 with the Baltimore Colts. Belichick gained prominence as the defensive coordinator for the New York Giants, leading them to two Super Bowl victories in the 1980s. He later served as head coach for the Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets before taking the helm of the New England Patriots in 2000. Under his leadership, the Patriots became a dynasty, winning six Super Bowls and achieving 17 division titles. Belichick retired from the Patriots in January 2024 after 24 seasons.
In December 2024, Belichick began a new chapter as the head coach of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels football team, marking his first collegiate coaching role. He signed a five-year contract reportedly worth $10 million annually, with the first three years guaranteed .
