Opening the season on August 31, Notre Dame will face the Miami Hurricanes at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, marking the 28th meeting between the two programs .

Following a bye week, the Irish will return home to Notre Dame Stadium to host Texas A&M on September 13, continuing a home-and-home series that began in 2024. The following week, on September 20, they will play against Purdue, a longstanding rival, in the annual battle for the Shillelagh Trophy. On September 27, Notre Dame will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for their first-ever meeting with the Razorbacks at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium .​

October brings a series of home games, starting with Boise State on October 4, marking the first matchup between the two schools.
