Ciara Celebrates in Style as Russell Wilson Joins New York Giants on $21 Million Deal and she pointed
Russell Wilson is officially a New York Giant, and no one is more excited than his wife, Ciara. The veteran quarterback signed a one-year, $21 million contract with the Giants on March 25, a move that brings veteran leadership to a team in need of stability. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Wilson’s deal includes $10.5 million in guaranteed money.
Minutes after the news broke, Ciara took to Instagram to celebrate in true New York fashion. She posted a throwback of Wilson rocking a Yankees outfit, captioning it: *“New York State of Mind! My greatest inspiration @dangerusswilson.”* She also reshared Wilson’s own Instagram Story, which read: *“Been here before… can’t wait to do it again #MetLife @nygiants,”* adding red, white, and blue heart emojis.
The couple, who married in 2016, has always supported each other’s careers. Ciara has frequently brought their four children—Future Zahir, Sienna Princess, Win Harrison, and Amora Princess—to cheer for Wilson during his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now, the family is gearing up to represent *Big Blue* in New York.
Wilson’s move comes after a challenging season with the Steelers, where he recorded 2,482 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions across 11 starts. With the Giants finishing the 2024 season at 3–14, they were in dire need of an experienced quarterback.
While the Giants recently signed Jameis Winston to a two-year, $8 million deal and still have Tommy DeVito on the roster, Wilson is expected to be the team’s starter for the 2025 season. Though the Giants are still evaluating draft prospects like Miami’s Cam Ward, Wilson’s arrival signals their intent to win now.
With a fresh start in New York, Wilson will be looking to prove he still has plenty left in the tank—while Ciara and their family cheer him on every step of the way.
