Pittsburgh Player Dies In Car AccidentMason Alexander was just 18 years old….

Mason Alexander, an 18-year-old freshman cornerback for the University of Pittsburgh Panthers, tragically lost his life in a car accident on March 1, 2025, in Fishers, Indiana. Alexander was a passenger in a vehicle that veered off the road and struck a tree, causing the car to catch fire; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alexander had recently graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, where he was a standout football player. He signed with the Panthers in December and enrolled at Pitt in January, quickly making a positive impression on his coaches and teammates. Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi expressed deep sorrow over Alexander’s passing, stating, “Mason was proud and excited to be a Panther, and we felt the same way about having him in our Pitt family.
