Tottenham  Hotspur’s season has been far from ideal, but former Arsenal star Paul Merson believes they will secure a victory against Manchester City on Wednesday. Despite Spurs’ inconsistent form and injury troubles, Merson is confident they can cause an upset.

Speaking ahead of the crucial clash, Merson highlighted Tottenham’s strong record against City in recent years, particularly at home. He pointed out that Spurs have often troubled Pep Guardiola’s side with their counter-attacking style, making them a dangerous opponent.

“Spurs have had a rough season, but they always seem to turn up against City,” Merson said. “They know how to frustrate them and hit them on the break.”

While Tottenham’s form has been shaky, City are in the middle of a tense title race and cannot afford to drop points. However, Merson believes the pressure is on Guardiola’s men, and Spurs could take advantage of that.
