Tears to my eyes’ – Jon Gruden visibly choked after Maxx Crosby hands over surprise Raiders gift….

Former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden recently experienced an emotional moment when he received a surprise package from star defensive end Maxx Crosby. The package, filled with Raiders memorabilia, included a signed jersey from Crosby, prompting Gruden to express his heartfelt appreciation. He shared on social media, “The box we just got delivered brought actual tears to my eyes.” Gruden further praised Crosby, stating, “This is the greatest gift ever. That is one of my favorite guys I ever met, Maxx Crosby.”

Gruden’s connection to Crosby dates back to the 2019 NFL Draft when, influenced by his assistant Jeff Leonardo’s persistent recommendations, he selected the Eastern Michigan defensive end in the fourth round. This decision has proven fruitful, as Crosby has since developed into one of the league’s premier pass rushers, earning multiple Pro Bowl selections.

Reflecting on his tenure with the Raiders, Gruden expressed optimism about the team’s future under new head coach Pete Carroll and quarterback Geno Smith. He remarked, “I feel good again… We are going to have a pass rush that replicates the great ones in Raiders history.”

This heartfelt exchange between Gruden and Crosby underscores the enduring bonds formed within the Raiders organization and highlights the mutual respect between the former coach and his players.
