Eagles GM Howie Roseman Injured by Thrown Beer Can During Super Bowl Parade

Philadelphia Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman suffered a head injury after being struck by a beer can thrown from the crowd during the team’s Super Bowl LIX victory parade on Friday, February 14, 2025.

The incident occurred as Roseman stood alongside players and staff on the team’s celebration float, making its way through the streets of Philadelphia. Fans were tossing beverages towards the float in a show of excitement, but one can hit Roseman in the head, causing a visible wound.

Witnesses reported that Roseman was briefly stunned and seen bleeding from his forehead. However, he quickly composed himself and continued celebrating with the team. Holding the Lombardi Trophy, Roseman addressed the enthusiastic crowd, declaring, “I bleed for this city!” – a statement that further fueled the fans’ excitement.

Despite the injury, Roseman did not require immediate medical attention and appeared to be in good spirits for the remainder of the parade. Eagles officials later confirmed that he was doing well and had received treatment for the minor injury.

The incident occurred on the same day as an unrelated shooting along the parade route, where two individuals were injured. Authorities are reviewing video footage to determine if the beer-throwing incident was intentional or simply an overzealous fan’s celebration gone wrong.

The Eagles organization urged fans to celebrate responsibly, emphasizing the importance of safety during large public events. Roseman, a key figure in building the Eagles’ championship-winning roster, is widely respected by the team’s passionate fanbase.

While the injury did not dampen the celebratory atmosphere, it served as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of such large gatherings.
