Deion Sanders’ Son Shilo Faces NFL Uncertainty After Combine Snub
Shilo Sanders, the son of Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, is facing questions about his NFL future after being left off the invite list for the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine.
The 24-year-old defensive back, who played under his father at Jackson State and later at Colorado, had hoped to showcase his talent in front of NFL scouts. However, his absence from the Combine roster has raised doubts about his standing among league evaluators.
Shilo had a solid season with the Colorado Buffaloes, recording 70 tackles, an interception, and multiple forced fumbles. Despite his physical style and leadership on the field, concerns over his speed, coverage abilities, and injury history may have contributed to his Combine omission.
Speaking about the snub, Deion Sanders acknowledged the disappointment but remained optimistic about his son’s future. “Shilo is a dog. He’s a leader. He’ll get his opportunity – Combine or not,” Sanders said.
Shilo can still improve his draft stock through Colorado’s Pro Day and private workouts with NFL teams. However, the Combine snub highlights the competitive nature of the draft process, leaving Shilo’s path to the NFL less certain than expected.
As draft day approaches, Shilo Sanders will need to prove himself outside the league’s biggest pre-draft stage – a challenge he appears ready to embrace.
