Everton considering ex Man Utd boss Solskjaer as new manager
According to reports, OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER is a contender to take over Everton, but he insists that the team purchase two players from Manchester United.
The Norwegian hasn’t had a job since leaving the Red Devils in November 2021, but Fabrizio Romano reports that he may be returning to the Premier League after speaking with Everton.
Everton, who qualified for the Champions League twice and placed second in the Europa League, is said to be thrilled with the overhaul Solskjaer completed at United. But before agreeing to take over, 49-year-old Solskjaer is insisting that the Toffees bolster the team.
The former striker wants Harry Maguire, the captain of United, and Scott McTominay, his midfield partner, to move with Everton.
Luckily for Solskajer, it appears that United is prepared to let the two go in order to relieve pressure on financial fair play. After Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez were signed, both saw a decrease in playing time.
Since West Ham’s bid to acquire the England star was turned down, Maguire might be available on loan. Newcastle is among the teams in the Premier League that have expressed interest in McTominay.
Everton appears to have lost out on Marcelo Bielsa, who is requesting a salary of £6 million year, despite having a list of potential managers. Sam Allardyce, the former manager of Everton, Sean Dyche, and David Moyes have also been connected to the position, though
